West London Community College
 
Situated in Uxbridge, West London Community College is a well established Independent Living Skills provision for adults with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder or Asperger Syndrome.

Using a person centred approach, we are able to meet the complex and specific needs of our students. Each individuals programme is designed to promote the students intellectual, psychological, moral, social, cultural, physical and creative competencies.

Sessions offered include: Budgeting, Social Practice, ICT, Vocational Skills, Emotional Literacy and Independence. More practical groups are a Lunch Enterprise Scheme and a student run Tuck Shop. Students also have the option of including some academic study in to their timetable.

This can be through a variety of routes and depends which best meets the needs of the individual. College staff work closely with other professional colleagues to form a multi-disciplinary team, providing a holistic approach to student’s welfare and well-being.

It is our vision to improve the quality of life for our students and promote understanding of Autistic Spectrum Disorders.

Our mission is to enable adults with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder to develop the skills, knowledge and understanding which will afford them the opportunity to achieve as fulfilled, meaningful and independent a life as possible through the provision of a high quality, personalised life skills programme that meets their needs and interests.
