We place great importance in accessing the widest range of community facilities that we can, and through our activity timetables, arrange dry slope skiing, golf, fishing, bowling, theatre, cinema, boating and ice skating.

Surf tripAn annual holiday can be arranged for those who wish to go, and in previous years we have had many happy times staying in some beautiful places.

The Old Vicarage is set within large front and rear gardens, giving privacy from the road. We have free facilities for laundry and cooking, together with many recreational facilities such as Sky TV, games consoles, pool table, basketball hoop, computer room with internet access.


Playing cardsThe home has four communal rooms located on the ground floor and allowing plenty of space for privacy, or to join others for a game of cards or a meal!
There is an outdoor, sheltered smoking area adjoined to the conservatory, but smoking is prohibited within the home.


Enjoying a mealIt is our aim to actively encourage service users to cater for their own needs and diversify their range of abilities as much as possible. The home provides monitoring and measuring tools to ensure that the service users are reaching their goals, with the help of our experienced staff team. It is also our aim to access appropriate external professionals and advisory services according to the needs of the service user, together with primary health care facilities.


A fishing tripThe Old Vicarage is situated within easy reach of Uxbridge town centre, with a wide choice of bars, restaurants, cinema, library, swimming pool and sports centre. The metropolitan line is accessible from the town centre, providing easy access to London and beyond. In addition, the home also has its own 8 seater transport for journeys further-a field and we actively encourage our service users to participate in planning and partaking in various trips.
